Court Grants Final Approval to $17.55 Million Fasteners Antitrust Settlements

1/24/2014 - Judge R. Barclay Surrick of the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania granted plaintiffs’ motion for final approval of settlements with William Prym Inc. and related entities, YKK Corporation and related entities, and Coats Holdings, Ltd. and related entities, in the Fasteners Antitrust Litigation.  These settlements resolve this antitrust class action.  In approving the settlements, Judge Surrick noted that Barrack, Rodos & Bacine and its three co-lead counsel “are highly qualified, and have extensive expertise and experience in the area of complex litigation and antitrust disputes.  Moreover, the attorneys have all worked together on similar complex cases in the past, and have success in resolving disputes.”
