William J. Ban

William J. Ban, a partner in Barrack, Rodos & Bacine, joined the firm in 2004. Bill has focused his practice of law in the areas of securities, antitrust and consumer class action litigation since his admission to the Bar of the State of New York in 1983.

Over the past twenty-five years, Mr. Ban’s practice of law has focused on securities, antitrust and consumer class action litigation on behalf of plaintiffs and he has participated as lead or co-lead counsel, on executive committees and in significant roles in many major class action litigations in federal and state courts throughout the country. At BR&B he has been an important member of the litigation teams for In re WorldCom, Inc. Securities Litigation, Master File No. 02-Civ-3288 (DLC), before the Honorable Denise L. Cote in the Southern District of New York, and In re Automotive Refinishing Paint Antitrust Litigation, MDL Docket No. 1426, before the Honorable R. Barclay Surrick in the Eastern District of Pennsylvania. Before joining BR&B, Mr. Ban’s participated significantly in dozens of successful major class action or derivative litigations in federal and state courts throughout the country, including In re MobilMedia Securities Litigation, 28 F. Supp. 2d 901 (D.N.J. 1998); In re Nine West Shoes Antitrust Litigation, 80 F. Supp 2d 181 (S.D.N.Y. 2000); In re Bennett Funding Securities Litigation, 96 Civ. 2583 (S.D.N.Y.); In re Brand Name Prescription Drugs Antitrust Litigation, M.D.L. 940 (N.D.Ill.); In re Seagate Technology Inc. Shareholders Litigation, (Del. Ch. 2001); Omnicare, Inc. v. NCS Healthcare, Inc., 818 A.2d 914 (Del. 2003); and In re High Fructose Corn Syrup Antitrust Litigation, M.D.L. 1087 (D.Ill.).
